In Kosovo, near the Serbian
Orthodox monastery of Visoki Decani, three people were arrested
today for displaying the words 'Kosovo is Serbia' on their car.
Serbian media, which reported on the incident in the evening,
quoted the Kosovo police spokesman for the western region of
Pec, where the monastery is located, as saying that the car in
question had Montenegrin license plates. After spotting it in a
local parking lot, officers soon traced it to its three
occupants, who were taken into custody. They had probably
participated with thousands of other people, who had also come
from neighboring countries, in a solemn liturgy for an Orthodox
religious festival celebrated today at the medieval monastery of
Visoki Decani, located about fifteen kilometers south of the
western city of Pec.
