More than 1300 photos per day in high-quality digital format accompanied by explanatory captions provide immediate and detailed coverage of developments in politics, economics, sports, and national and international entertainment. For events abroad, ANSA relies on cooperation from the main international agencies. It is Italy's exclusive representative within the European Press Photo Agency (EPA) circuit , which links the main European press agencies.

Photo Archive
The ANSA archive contains the agency's entire photographic output of national and international events. This totals over 3 millions images in digital format, from 1995 until the present day, accompanied by detailed captions and ready for publication.

Historical archive
ANSA'S historical archive is a unique heritage, which provides a crucial service for helping reconstruct the visual history of Italy and the world . Events and figures from the 1940s to 1995 (when ANSA made the transition to digital technology) are covered by more than 1.5 million black and white and colour images (negative plates, slides) attesting to 200,000 events that occurred in Italy and abroad. The archive, currently being converted into digital format, was declared of great historical interest by the Italian Culture Ministry.
