The master of robotics Hiroshi
Ishiguro, director of the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory at
Osaka University, visited the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.
"I have a strong relationship with Italy, I am in love with your
country", said Ishiguro while visiting the space accompanied by
the Commissioner General for Italy at Expo Mario Vattani.
The scientist is famous for having created a humanoid version of
himself (Geminoid), sending his alter ego to academic
conferences and having his androids act in theater.
'Future of life', one of the Signature pavilions (the author
pavilions) of Expo 2025 Osaka, is dedicated to him.
Visiting the Italy Pavilion, Ishiguro was struck by the presence
of original works such as the Farnese Atlas, as well as
Caravaggio's "The Deposition".
The professor also appreciated the presence of the work DieXe,
by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, made with Murano glass.
