Italian police on Thursday made two
arrests in the 2015 bombing of an amusement arcade that killed a
lower-league footballer near Bari in Puglia.
Domenico Martimucci, 27, who played for Serie D side
Castellaneta, died of his injuries five months after the bombing
at Altamura.
The two arrests are Nicola Centonze, who allegedly coordinated
the attack, and Nicola Laquale, who allegedly supplied the
explosives.
The bombing by local mobsters was aimed at getting clients to
frequent a different arcade, police said.
The two local bosses who ordered the bombing got 30 years and 18
years in jail in 2018.
