The European Union can't dodge
security and competitiveness, Premier Giorgia Meloni said in
joint statements after a meeting with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf
Kristersson at Palazzo Chigi Wednesday.
"We agree that today more than ever the big issues that Europe
cannot afford to elude are the security of citizens and the
competitiveness of the production system," the two leaders said.
"Europe must have the courage to work concretely to consolidate
the European pillar of the Atlantic Alliance with a view to
strategic complementarity with the American one".
