There is a blessing in the fragility
of the sick, Pope Francis said Sunday in the weekly Angelus
prayer from his hospital bed in Rome where he is battling
pneumonia.
The Pope, again today, for the third consecutive Sunday, sent
the written text of the Angelus from Gemelli Hospital.
"I send you these thoughts again from the hospital, where as you
know I have been for several days, accompanied by doctors and
health workers, whom I thank for the attention with which they
take care of me. I feel in my heart the 'blessing' that is
hidden within fragility, because precisely in these moments we
learn even more to trust in the Lord; at the same time, I thank
God because he gives me the opportunity to share in body and
spirit the condition of so many sick and suffering people",
wrote Pope Francis.
