Pope Francis had another restful
night in Rome's Gemelli hospital, where he is spending the 12th
anniversary of his election as the head of the Catholic Church,
the Holy See Press Office said on Thursday.
The 88-year-old Argentine pontiff was admitted to the hospital
on February 14 and is being treated for bilateral pneumonia.
On Wednesday, the Vatican said the pope's clinical situation
remained stable, with a chest X-ray confirming slight
improvements, but within a context that nevertheless remains
complex.
It said that Francis continues to undergo high-flow oxygen
therapy during the day and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
overnight.
