Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said
Saturday Italy was concerned about Lebanon after fresh exchanges
of strikes after four months of a ceasefire and that all parties
should respect their commitments to defend progress towards
peace.
"The Italian government is following the situation in southern
Lebanon with concern," Tajani said on X.
"All parties must respect their commitments and defend the
progress achieved.
"Further escalations would represent a serious risk for the
region.
"We support the role of UNIFIL and the safety of all the
soldiers involved in this important peace mission".
