A 54-year-old Scottish tourist, badly
burned in the collapse of a building in the Monteverde Vecchio
neighborhood in Rome on March 23, died Tuesday from his
injuries.
The man, Grant Paterson, was in a B&B housed in the building.
Paterson, from East Kilbride in Lanarkshire, worked for Scottish
ferry operator CalMac.
He arrived in the Italian capital on a solo tourist trip on
March 21.
Paterson suffered burns on 75% of his body from the gas
explosion that caused the collapse.
