Fitch on Thursday cut Stellantis' rating to 'BBB' from 'BBB+', with a stable outlook.
The US ratings agency said the downgrade reflects the worsening of market conditions in North America and the increase in cost pressures following the 25% Trump tariffs imposed on cars.
Stellantis, a multinational automotive manufacturing company formed from the merger in 2021 of the Italian-American conglomerate Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and the French PSA Group, is the world's fourth-largest automaker by sales, behind Toyota, Volkswagen Group, and Hyundai Motor Group
