Anti-terrorism police based in
Calabria on Friday arrested an Tunisian national suspected of
being a member of Islamist group ISIS and wanting to carry out
an act of terrorism in Italy.
The suspect resides in Cosenza and is a wanted man in his
homeland, sources said.
He alleged had an organizational role within ISIS and was
arrested on a warrant issued by prosecutors in Catanzaro on
charges of transnational criminal association for terrorism.
He was alleged determined to carry out an act of terrorism in
Italy in the near future.
Investigators use bugs and wiretaps to build their case against
the suspect and determine that he was part of a criminal
structure to carry out terrorism attracts and indoctrinate
people to the cause of jihad.
