Meloni's diplomatic advisor, wrote in a letter sent Friday to
Oles Horodetskyy, the president of the Christian Association of
Ukrainians in Italy published Monday on Facebook.
Horodetskyy was one of the organizers of a march held in Rome
Sunday on the eve of the third anniversary of the Ukrainian
conflict.
Replying to a letter inviting Meloni, the ambassador explained
that the premier could not attend the demonstration due to prior
institutional commitments, urging Horodetskyy to "convey Her
convinced intention of paying homage to the heroic resistance of
the Ukrainian people also on the occasion of this third
anniversary, as she did last year personally in Kyiv".
