Ground floor rooms in Bologna will be
evacuated from 10 pm Thursday night amid a weather red alert for
torrential rain and flooding, local authorities said.
Following the red weather alert issued by environmental agency
Arpae, the Municipality of Bologna has issued an order to
evacuate the basements, semi-basements and ground floors of
buildings located in some streets in the Borgo Panigale-Reno,
Navile, Porto-Saragozza, Santo Stefano and Savena neighborhoods
starting from 10 pm today and until the end of the emergency.
As a precaution, the Municipality emphasizes, it is mandatory to
go to the upper floors and prepare what is necessary to spend
the night there or independently identify viable alternatives.
