From 6 to 8 December, the Cineplexx Skopje City Mall hosted the second edition of Cinema Made in Italy, organised in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Belgrade, the Cineplexx Skopje City Mall and Cinecittà, a reference point for the Italian audiovisual industry that manages the legendary Roman film studios and promotes Italian cinema as a member of the European Film Promotion.
The festival - the Italian Embassy reported in a note - offered the public three intense days of screenings subtitled in Macedonian, with a selection of five very recent, high-quality films, signed by great established directors such as Marco Tullio Giordana (La vita accanto, 2024), Daniele Luchetti (Confidenza, 2023) and Gianni Amelio (Campo di battaglia, 2024) or by emerging talents such as Margherita Vicario (Gloria! 2024) and Maura Delpero (Vermiglio, 2024) and played by extraordinary actors.
Intriguing, intense and exciting stories won over a large and interested audience, confirming the versatility and narrative capacity of contemporary Italian cinema. Appointment at the next edition for a new journey into the magic of Italian cinema!
