Yesterday, the Italian Ambassador to Spain, Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi, awarded Professor Antonio López Pina the honour of Commendatore of the Order of the Star of Italy.
A recognised authority in the field of constitutional law at a European and international level, Professor López Pina has explored the relationship between the Italian and Spanish constitutions over the course of his ten-year career, delivering lectures and seminars.
"Through his activity as Councillor of State, with his important contribution to the development of democratic values, he has strengthened Italian-Spanish friendship, particularly in the legal-constitutional sphere," Ambassador Buccino Grimaldi emphasised in explaining the reasons for the recognition.
