On the occasion of Italian Design Day 2025, the Italian Ambassador to Turkey, Giorgio Marrapodi, hosted an event dedicated to the excellence of Italian design last night at the Italian Ambassador's Residence in Ankara. Special guest Alex Terzariol, well-known designer and delegate for international activities for Adi - Association for Industrial Design, who guided the many guests present along a path to discover the creativity and innovation that make Made in Italy a global reference point.
    In his opening greeting, Ambassador Marrapodi emphasised how design represents one of the highest expressions of Italian creative and productive capacity, recognised internationally. "Italian design is synonymous with excellence. It is not just style, but a universal language capable of combining aesthetics, functionality and innovation, with a focus on people's quality of life,' said Marrapodi. Following this, Terzariol illustrated some of the most iconic products of Italian design, telling the stories behind objects that have been awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro, a recognised symbol of excellence, innovation and Made in Italy skills. Participants also had the opportunity to admire some of these products in the exhibition set up for the occasion with the contribution of Mozaik, one of the most important design showrooms in Turkey.
