The Italian Embassy in Dublin, as part of the 9th edition of the Italian Design Day and in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute, the ICE Agency in London and the Italian-Irish Chamber of Commerce, organised the exhibition 'Italia Geniale - Design enables', at the Royal Dublin Society (Rds), in the premises of Saint Mary's Church, in the presence of numerous representatives of the Irish business, academic and artistic world.
The exhibition, open to the public until 27 March, is curated by the Design Museum Adi (Association for Industrial Design) - Compasso d'Oro and promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The exhibition focuses on enhancing the Italian heritage of trademarks and patents, touching on the history, culture of materials and technology and intertwining with the history of design. The opening event opened with greetings from the Italian Ambassador in Dublin, Nicola Faganello, and the President of the Italian-Irish Chamber of Commerce, Furio Pietribiasi, followed by a lecture entitled 'Designing Change: the Italian vision between form and function' by architect Massimo Roj, 2025 testimonial of Italian design in Ireland. In addition to inaugurating the exhibition, in recent days Faganello participated, together with the French Ambassador in Dublin, Celine Place, and the presidents of the local Italian and Franco-Irish Chambers of Commerce and representatives of local institutions, at the invitation of 'ceo' Sebastien Roche, at the event organised to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Horizon, Bulgari's logistics and distribution centre in Dublin, a hub for the collection and worldwide shipping of all products (jewellery, watches, perfumes, bags and other luxury items) of the prestigious brand.
