The delegation of the Italian national foil team was received by the Italian ambassador in Lima, Massimiliano Mazzanti, on the eve of the highlight day of the speciality Grand Prix in Peru.
"We perceived the great closeness of the embassy and we are grateful to all the people who work for our country abroad and who allow us to have very important reference points. For our part, we are proud to represent Italy in the sporting sphere,' said the technical commissioner, Simone Vanni.
Yesterday's meeting further affirms the constant and fruitful relationship that the Italian Fencing Federation has with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. A fundamental and strategic collaboration, unravelled in several operational projects, from 'La Bellezza in un gesto' (a programme that promotes the excellence of Made in Italy in the world through fencing) to 'ComunichiAmo lo sport italiano' (Let's communicate Italian sport), on the occasion of whose launch the Italian women's epee team, Olympic gold medallist at Paris 2024, received the nomination of ambassador of Italian sport in the world.
