On 27 March, the first edition of the Italian-French Forum on Research and Innovation was held in Paris as part of the initiatives planned to implement the Quirinal Treaty.
The Forum, organised by the Italian and French Ministries of Research together with the Italian Embassy in Paris and the French Embassy in Rome, brought together representatives of the institutions, universities and the world of research of the two countries to discuss and reflect on key issues for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the sector.
During the day's work, high-level round tables with more than 120 participants provided an in-depth look at the main dynamics of the bilateral partnership between Rome and Paris, such as the development prospects of the Italo-French University and cooperation between research and industry in the field of high-tech sectors such as quantum computing, artificial intelligence and high performance computing.
The occasion also included an in-depth session on Italy's candidacy for the construction of the Einstein Telescope, the main scientific infrastructure for the study of gravitational waves.
