The conference 'Improving the quality of employment through the enhancement of skills and global collaboration: a challenge for Italian companies in Romania - Experiences and good practices in line with OECD standards' took place in Bucharest.
Organised by the Embassy of Italy in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity of Romania and the contribution of the company Adecco, the conference brought together representatives of Romanian public institutions, sector experts, trade associations and representatives of the main Italian and international companies active in Romania. At the heart of the debate was the increasingly complex scenario of a labour market that requires, both at European and Member State level, new investments in continuous training and the development of public-private partnerships.
The conference was attended by Simona Bucura-Oprescu, Minister of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity of Romania; Alfredo Durante Mangoni, Ambassador of Italy in Romania; Stefano Scarpetta, Director General for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs of the OECD; Mario Nava, Director General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission (via video) and many other institutional and non-institutional personalities.
