Carlo Bonomi, the president of Italian
industry association Confindustria, said Monday that he welcomed
Premier Giorgia Meloni's comments about the need for a new
approach to supporting business in Italy in her address to the
assembly of the confederation's Lombardy section, Assolombarda.
"I very much liked the premier's words, (they made for) a
different narration of industry," Bonomi said.
"The importance of supporting industry is understood".
He added that, while the government's budget law featured
measures to help businesses with high energy prices, "we would
have liked other resources to go into other things that we
considered important".
