Premier Giorgia Meloni stressed the
importance of averting the West splitting over Ukraine in talks
in London Sunday with British Prime Minister Kei Starmer ahead
of a summit on Ukraine in the British capital later in the day.
"I think it is very, very important that we avoid the risk of
the West dividing," Meloni said as she met Starmer in Downing
Street before the London summit on Ukraine and European defence.
"And I think that in this the UK and Italy can play an important
role in building bridges", she said.
