Commerzbank has announced plans
to cut approximately 3,900 jobs by 2028. Approximately 3,300 of
these work in central functions and operations in Germany.
The bank estimates that restructuring costs will be around
700 million euros before taxes in 2025. Simultaneously, staffing
levels will be increased in specific areas, such as
international locations and mBank. Finally, the Commerzbank
Group's global employee count is expected to remain constant at
36,700. The cuts are the result of digitalisation and the
increased use of international locations.
