Slovakia's long-running coalition
government crisis ended today. The leaders of the governing
parties Smer, Hlas (Voice), and the Slovak National Party (SNS)
agreed to change the coalition agreement and redistribute
ministries.
Prime Minister Robert Fico's Smer-Social Democrats party emerged
victorious from the agreement, gaining two new ministries. The
agreement removed the threat of early parliamentary elections.
