Zelensky "was elected and has always been supported by
Americans, as well as by the Trump administration. I remember
that it was the old Trump administration that brought Zelensky
to Europe through the embassy in Brussels," said Italian Foreign
Minister Antonio Tajani, a guest on 24 Mattino on Radio 24, in
response to the US president's attack on Ukraine's leader. "I do
not know why Trump used such harsh words," Tajani added. "He
probably did not like Zelensky's reaction to the meeting between
Americans and Russians in Saudi Arabia."
But now, the deputy prime minister adds, we must move beyond
verbal clashes and "work to achieve the goal of peace."
