Around 1,300 tonnes of waste
illegally transported to the Czech Republic from Italy are being
stored in the premises of a former agricultural cooperative in
Krizanovice, in the northern Vyskov region, Environment Minister
Petr Hladik confirmed to the media today during an inspection of
the premises. The waste is piled up to five metres high. Czech
Minister Hladik will meet with Italy's Environment Minister to
discuss the matter. "Pieces of clothing, car fabrics, and
municipal waste, mostly imported from Italy, are piled up in the
warehouses of the former agricultural cooperative and outside,"
Hladik stated on social media X.
