The guests of the first international stage of Libro Possibile, the festival born in Polignano a Mare (Bari), directed by Rosella Santoro, which will land in London from 11 to 13 March with appointments at the London Book Fair and at the Institute's headquarters in Belgrave Square, have been unveiled.
The protagonists of the events, organised in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in London, will be great Italian and English authors, leading voices in European literature, economics and popular science. From Simonetta Agnello Hornby (a naturalised British Italian lawyer and writer) to science populariser Philip Ball, from British writer Jonathan Coe to Carlo Cottarelli, from Maurizio De Giovanni to Diego De Silva, Tommaso Ebhardt, Barbara Gallavotti, Olivia Laing and Michele Masneri.
After 24 years of success in Polignano a Mare and Vieste, the 24th edition of the festival is projected onto the international publishing scene. "Il Libro Possibile," emphasises Rossella Santoro, "confirms itself as a cultural model without borders, capable of uniting literature, territories and global visions, from the Mediterranean to overseas. We will bring the voice of great Italian publishing and the cultural ferment of Puglia to London, creating something new and possible'.
