The Italian Ambassador to Serbia, Luca Gori, today attended the press conference opening the 22nd edition of the Belgrade Dance Festival, the traditional international dance festival directed by Aja Jung. The event, which is being held with the support of the Italian Embassy in Serbia and the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, will be held from 7 March to 15 April and will see 19 dance companies from 11 countries perform in Serbia. Italy will be the star of the event with a performance by Roberto Bolle. The Italian étoile will be the star performer at the 2025 edition of the Festival with his show 'Roberto Bolle & friends'. Three other important Italian dance companies will also perform during the event: the one led by choreographer Adriano Bolognino, the MM Contemporary Dance Company from Reggio Emilia and Spellbound from Rome.
"The Belgrade Dance Festival is one of the most important European festivals dedicated to ballet, and this year the level of the event grows even further, bringing one of the most important dancers in the world to Serbia: Roberto Bolle," said Ambassador Gori. "The presence of Bolle and three other important Italian dance companies in Belgrade - added Gori - gives lustre to our entire cultural programme and will offer the Serbian public a unique show. An event out of the ordinary in a country that particularly loves Italy and Italian ballet."
