The Italian Embassy in Cyprus is celebrating Italian Design Day in the World on 21 March at the University of Nicosia; this year's theme is 'Design for a Better Life'.
The day's programme includes: at 9 a.m., a Masterclass at the Department of Architecture of the University of Nicosia, led by Arch. Mario Trimarchi, of ADI, Milan, and Prof. Alessandra Swiny, lecturer at the faculty, reserved for students. At 6 p.m., in the same venue, architect Trimarchi will give a lecture in English entitled: "Could Poetry in Design Reduce Inequalities?"
The lecture will be preceded by a brief welcome address by Italian Ambassador Federica Ferrari Bravo and an introduction in English to the general theme of Italian Design Day by Professor Swiny. The atrium of the University will also host the PINK exhibition 'Women of Italian Graphic Design. Dalle Origini alla Contemporaneità", which will remain on display and can be visited until 11 April.
