The Ambassador of Italy to India Antonio Bartoli met today in Delhi the President of Isro, V Narayanan, with whom he had a discussion that he described as "cordial and fruitful". The meeting was Ambassador Bartoli's first with the head of India's prestigious space agency. During the meeting, which was also attended by the Embassy's Scientific Attaché, Professor Sergio Ledda, the solid collaboration between the two countries in the space sector was reaffirmed, and it was agreed that further operational input should be given to this collaboration, which is one of the pillars of the joint action plan signed by the two Prime Ministers.
Collaboration in space will take the form of dialogue between governments and agencies, deepening the already strong contacts in science and research circles, and supporting btb synergies between companies, start-ups and innovation hubs. The first important event in this direction will be the Business, Science & Tech Forum to be held in Delhi on 10 and 11 April.
