Italian bassist and composer Rosa Brunello, known for her ability to move between free improvisation, electric rock, dub and South American influences, will be the guest artist in Senegal at the 33rd edition of the Saint Louis International Jazz Festival, to be held from 28 May to 1 June 2025. Supported by the Italian Institute of Culture in Dakar, together with the Italian Embassy, the artist will present her latest album 'Senseless Acts of Love' at the Festival. Accompanying her will be Tamar Osborn (baritone saxophone, flute), Maurice Louca (guitar, synthesiser) and Marco Frattini (drums, percussion). The album offers an exceptional fusion of jazz and experimental music talents. Through the concept of slow travel, the album invites listeners to adopt a more conscious and sustainable approach to exploration, to connect deeply with the world and to appreciate the diversity of cultures that coexist in it.
