On the occasion of National Made in Italy Day, which coincides with the anniversary of the birth of Leonardo da Vinci's creative genius, the Embassy of Italy in Ukraine, together with the Ice Agency and the Institute of Culture, brings together Italian companies active in the country in the fashion sector, organising for the occasion a symposium dedicated to deepening the history, tradition and innovation under the title: 'Made in Italy is told. La Moda'. Selected participants can listen to the contributions of qualified speakers, connected online: Professors Pierluigi Ciapparelli, Fabio Converti and Architect Francesco Canestrini. Paolo Falco, Mayor of Capri, and Stefano Dominella, patron of Maison Gattinoni and President of Unindustria's Fashion Department, will also speak. On the Ukrainian side, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, the Deputy Ministers of Culture and Infrastructures, and representatives of the Ukrainian Presidency will be present.
"Culture, enterprise, beauty and creativity in Ukraine do not stand still, not even in the face of the brutality of Russian aggression. On the contrary, they are instruments of resilience, of dialogue, of hope," Ambassador Carlo Formosa stressed in opening the symposium. "We strongly wanted to celebrate the Day with this initiative, which ideally wants to represent a cultural and economic bridge between Italy and Ukraine at a time when this country is looking to the future with courage and determination. The creative sector can also play an important role in reconstruction, a process that is not only physical, but also social, cultural and spiritual. Design, fashion, the culture of the beautiful and the well-made can help inspire new paths of rebirth,' the Ambassador added.
