Pope Francis slept well Friday night
and had breakfast Saturday as normal in his room at Rome's
Gemelli Hospital where he is being treated for a respiratory
tract infection, Vatican Spokesman Matteo Bruni said Saturday.
The 87-year-old Argentine pontiff, who has had several bouts of
bronchitis recently, "spent a peaceful night and slept well,"
said Bruni, the head of the Vatican press office.
"This morning he had breakfast and read some newspapers".
Bruni added that "the tests and therapies are continuing".
