Italy emerged as Bosnia and
Herzegovina's top country for imports in the first nine months
of 2024. This was revealed by data published by the government
in Sarajevo on trade with other European states and the rest of
the world. The Balkan country from January to September last
year imported goods worth the equivalent of 1.4 billion euros
from Italy, ahead of Germany (1.2 billion), Serbia (1 billion)
and China (about 1 billion). In contrast, for the export of
Bosnian goods, Italy ranked sixth behind Croatia, first,
Germany, Serbia, Austria, and Slovenia. Exported goods are
mainly electric cables, steel constructions, car seats, while
imports were mainly oil and derivatives, medicines, cars, copper
derivatives.
