"2030 has been set as the
accession date for Western Balkan countries that are not yet
members of the EU, but we believe it can be done even sooner,"
said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani
at the Med Dialogues in Rome. "We will soon meet in Rome with
the EU's High Representative for Foreign Policy, Kaja Kallas,
and the new Slovenian Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos,
to agree on a strategy to ensure that the Western Balkans remain
part of Europe," he added.
