German conservative voter support
is dwindling further: if voting were held today, only 26.5% of
Germans would vote for the CDU or the CSU, according to the Insa
institute, as reported by Bild today. The far-right Afd is
closing the gap, now trailing the conservatives by only three
percentage points at 23.5%. The SPD's Social Democrats gain one
percentage point to 15.5%. All other parties, including the
Greens (12%) and Linke (10.5%), support the values expressed in
polls so far. According to the data, the Liberal Party and Sahra
Wagenknecht's group will continue to fall short of the
parliamentary threshold.
