Both the Slovenian government and
the ruling Freedom Movement have gained ground in the most
recent POP TV poll, but the Democratic Party (SDS) remains the
strongest force, according to Slovenian news agency STA. The
government's approval rating rose to 30.8% from 28.4% the
previous month, while the share of those who believe it is doing
a poor job fell by six points to 52.9%. The Freedom Movement
polled at 15.2%, a more than two-point increase over the
previous month. The SDS remains the top-rated party at 21%, down
slightly from the month before.
