A spokeswoman for the European
Commission stated that the Hungarian law proposal banning Pride
must be thoroughly examined. This proposal is currently under
discussion in the Hungarian Parliament. "In general, the member
states are responsible for organising demonstrations and
demonstrations; however, it is imperative that they adhere to
the Charter of Fundamental Rights, as well as the freedom of
expression and peaceful assembly," she continued.
