Milan's Piazza Affari ended a volatile
session up 0.12% on Friday afternoon, with the FTSE Mib closing
trading at 30,440 points.
The Italian stock exchange resisted pessimism, fuelled by data
on European inflation and the US labour market, concerning a
rapid and incisive European Central Bank interest rate cut,
recovering ground in the second half of the afternoon in the
wake of Wall Street's positive performance.
