The spread between Italy's 10-year
BTP bond and the German Bund dropped below 105 basis points for
the first time since 2021 in early trading on Tuesday, falling
to 104.8.
The yield on 10-year BTP stood at 3.56%, compared to 2.51% for
the German State paper.
The spread, an important measure of Italy's borrowing costs,
closed at 105.9 basis points on Monday and 109 points on Friday.
