Robert Redford, 81, told the Venice Film Festival he "wanted to make another film with Jane (Fonda) before I die" after Our Souls at Night got its world premier for the press on Friday at the world's oldest cinema festival. The movie, directed by Ritesh Batra and produced by Netflix, sees Redford and Fonda, 79, reunite.
The picture, which will broadcast by Netflix and not screened at cinemas, got a warm reception at the screening. The pair are to receive Golden Lions for career achievement later on Friday.
"He kisses really well, like when he was 20," said Fonda.
"I don't deny having fantasies about him" she added, prompting Redford to reply: "I didn't know. Did you have to say it here in public?".
