Premier Giorgia Meloni will not
condemn the "extermination" of Palestinians by Israel in Gaza
and should be ashamed, Green-Left Alliance (AVS) leader Angelo
Bonelli said after the premier told question time Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must respect international law and
the situation in the Strip was "unjustifiable" but Rome will not
recall its ambassador to tel Aviv.
"I tell you as a father, I am horrified, I am outraged by your
hypocrisy: you are not able to condemn what is happening, there
are 18 thousand children killed and you are not able to ask for
sanctions for those who kill children, the same sanctions
decided for Russia.
"You are doing it for a political calculation: it is more
important not to antagonize Israel and Washington", Bonelli
said in response to Meloni's response to AVS' question on Gaza.
"You were profoundly hypocritical: you did not have the courage
to condemn an ;;extermination, an ethnic cleansing and you
should be ashamed of it in front of the Italian people".
