On 3 and 4 April, the Italian Embassy in Paris hosted the 6th Italy-France Forum dedicated to transport infrastructure and energy, organised together with the France-Italy Institute for Economic Relations (Irefi) with the support of Intesa Sanpaolo.
The Forum, attended by more than 70 representatives of institutions, the business and economic world, and associations in the field of infrastructure and energy, offered an opportunity to examine the challenges and opportunities for collaboration between Italy and France in the transport infrastructure and energy sector in order to further consolidate the already excellent sectoral relations between the two countries.
Among the companies attending the Forum are Groupe Aeroports de Paris, Aeroporti di Roma, Aeroporti di Bologna, Aéroport de Nice Cote D'Azur, Airbus, Eni, Novamont, Orange Business, Snam, StMicroelectronics, Telt, Trenitalia, Safran, Edison, Edf, Nuward, Atr, Engie, Ita Airways, Eni, Hinfiniity / Vinci, Ceps, Ansaldo Energia and Ansaldo Nucleare, Grdf, NewCleo, Leonardo, l'Union Francaise de l'Electricité, Naarea, Sogin Framatome, Enel, Associazione Italiana Nucleare, Bpi France, Medef and Enedis. Among the institutions present were the President of Enac and the French Interministerial Delegate for New Nuclear Power.
"This year, the Transport and Energy Infrastructure Forum takes place in an international context characterised by profound transformations in the energy and transport sector, made even more urgent by the recent global crises and the need to accelerate the ecological transition," Ambassador D'Alessandro stressed in her opening speech. "The Forum is therefore an important opportunity to explore new possibilities for strengthening Italian-French cooperation in strategic areas," the Ambassador continued, "in line with the objectives set by the Quirinal Treaty and thanks to the participation of the main economic players of the two countries."
The forum was divided into two in-depth sessions devoted respectively to the decarbonisation of transport and energy, with a focus on nuclear energy.
