Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu
must respect international law, Premier Giorgia Meloni said
Wednesday saying that the situation in Gaza was unjustifiable.
"In recent months I have spoken to Prime Minister Netanyahu on
several occasions, they have often been difficult conversations
in which I have always called for the urgency of finding a way
to end hostilities and respect international law and
international humanitarian law," Meloni said at Prime Minister's
Question Time in the Chamber of Deputies (Lower House),
responding to Green-Left Alliance (AVS) MP Angelo Bonelli.
"A request that I renew today, in the face of a humanitarian
situation in Gaza that I have no difficulty in defining as
increasingly dramatic and unjustifiable".
